What do major entertainment brands such as ITV, BBC, BET and The Disney Channel have in common? The answer: they have all called on the talents of award-winning TV Presenter & Producer, Leah Charles-King.

Known for her vivacious character and engaging personality, the London based presenter has approached a milestone of 15 years in the media and TV industry alone.

Leah Charles-King began her career as a child actress at the age of 5. Her television career started in 2001 as the first black female continuity Presenter on Children’s ITV in its current 33 year history. Proceeding this, Leah enjoyed 10 years in the music industry as a member of chart selling girl-band, Kleshay eventually signed to Sony Music.

Since then Leah has presented and appeared in shows for ITV, BBC, The Disney Channel, on Sky TV and more , including as a red carpet correspondent for international American network BET (Black Entertainment Television). The shows she has presented have been viewed in as many regions as the UK and Europe, USA, Africa, the Middle East and the Caribbean, to a combined audience of over 90 million viewers.

Leah has enjoyed industry recognition by receiving the prestigious Screen Nation Award for Best Youth and Children’s Presenter, and also as the recipient of the “Best Woman in Media” accolade from the Wise Women Foundation.

Leah recently launched The Red Carpet Academy. The UK's only TV Presenter & Public Speaking training led by mainstream and celebrity Experts!

Having many years experience as an accomplished entertainment presenter and public speaker, Leah is now combining her media skills with activism for women's empowerment and female social issues. This was inspired when she presented the making of “Somebody Please (Help Haiti)”, the remarkable project that brought together some of the world’s most renowned gospel artists to raise money for the Haiti earthquake in 2010.

Among several television formats in development via her media company Princess King, Leah is currently in production of a groundbreaking documentary, entitled ‘(in)Visible Women’ to highlight one of the most controversial issues at the heart of many western cultures: Is there a lack of women in visible areas of society – like the media, business, politics and others? The preview release has piqued worldwide interest.

Using her own experiences Leah hopes to empower and inspire young women who desire a career in the creative industries. She offers a number of limited internships within her own production company, Princess King Media and The Red Carpet Academy to provide an opportunity of work experience for students and graduates who are interested in the field.

With high hopes and big ambition for the future, Leah is making positive moves towards even greater success in 2015 and beyond!
